Highs n lows since last week. The cold I got just before the Favela Chic messed with my mojo, but ended up a bit of a mixed blessing – as with all these things. I got up on stage with a head full of cotton and legs like lead, not the best. There followed a day or 2 of soul-searching (I’m a Virgo, we’re want to go on these little naval-gazing expeditions). Went in search of my mojo to find it was in my back pocket all along. Made me remember that I can’t get too comfortable doing anything, or take myself too seriously. Sunshine, Walthamstow Marshes, ales in the Hollybush and dancing round Chris’ kitchen to Nick Mulvey singing helped in the rehabilitation process.

Met a great vocal coach (sounds so sporty!), whos helping me get fit lickety-split for recording, she got me ‘bubbling’ and doing all sorts of wierdness with my voice to learn how to look after it as well as do my thing. The voice just falls out of your mouth, sometimes forget it needs a bosom for a pillow too.

Sunday Steph and Trine locked me away in their studio for a marathon shoot – it was a bit like playing dress-up like back in the day, only this time round everything fits! swapping Tinkerbell for MAC..Man, are they goood! Pics are Top Secret for the mo. Have decided I want Trine to be my in-house stylist everyday. Figure soon I’ll need to look fabulous all the time ;-). Roping the boys in for a proper shoot on 16th - pimp up! pimp up!
